Ну вот и пришла пора закрыть мой официально самый главный гештальт, которому в 2017 году исполнился 21 год. В 1996 году рижский ансамбль Yaputhma Sound System - или точнее, инопланетный музыкально-цирковой космический корабль-призрак, у одного из рулей которого мне довелось высшее счастье потанцевать в пору вечнозелёной молодости - выпустил дебютный (а также единственный официальный, т.е. записанный в студии и распространявшийся реальным издательством Annemarie Records ) альбом “ Rīgas Disco ”. Только на кассете (CD тогда ещё не были широко распространены в Латвии). Тиражом, вроде бы, порядка 1000 экз. Который и был вскоре распродан и никогда с тех пор не переиздавался - разве что лежал себе тихонько на yaputhma.bandcamp.com для бесплатного скачивания всем желающим. Собственно, он и сейчас там же лежит и так же бесплатно скачиваем. Another memorial release excavated from the dusty archives. This was an original music for the exhibition by Andris Vītoliņš , held in Riga circa 1998. Recorded live at the opening, it was then burnt on a CD-R and left playing in the background throughout the timespan of the exhibition. After 7 years of sleeping in silence on a dusty hard drive, finally this baby - Burulur EP by Gosh from Yaputhma & Various Artists is released FTW as a free download. A fruit of collaboration with friends - Andrei Oid, Martinez Gonzalez aka gon7o, NGC-5128 and Suspect - who delivered stunning reworks for the original track I made way back in 2008.  Full disclosure: this was the last time I tried my hands on music software to see if I want to get back to making music after fatal HDD crash in 1999 and subsequent hiatus as a producer. I made this one and another track  Just Kitten , which was eventually released on San Francisco label De'fchild Productions (alas, R.I.P.) in the form of a remix album , with a bunch of reworks by Havantepe, Selffish, Martinez Gonzalez, The Marx Trukker and others. The test proved that I actually didn't want to get back to production, and instead I focused on DJing, making mixtapes, hosting a radioshow, writing about music and ot...

Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to present the labour of friendship and mutual love for music, and simultaneously - a kind of magical time capsule, a blast from the past with a new flavour. So, here's the remix for an old Yaputhma Sound System track "Except Myself" made by Neveready  (real name Petteri Arpiainen), a hip-hop/downtempo/bass artist from Finland, who discovered the works of Yaputhma after meeting Dmitry Zagga a few years ago (when he was visiting Riga as part of Helsinki Rooftop Ninjas). At those meetings, a lot of common has been found musically, aesthetically and spiritually; as the result Neveready has lovingly rewound this track back, just for kicks (his and ours). В этот день я наконец имею возможность опубликовать сольный альбом песен Влада "Лунные Часы", который мы с ним вдвоём записали в далёком 1993 году (20 лет назад!) под названием Человек-На-Луне , и который всё это время лежал на полочке, практически никем не слышанный. After long work and preparations, finally, my track Just Kitten , with remixes from 8 artists, is out on De'fchild Productions , a very great San-Francisco-based label run by Ruoho Ruotsi. The remixes are provided by new and old friends: Selffish, Martinez Gonzalez, Ruoho Ruotsi himself, Havantepe, Triton, The Marx Trukker, Tim Suspect, Celice Monnette & Enrique Gongora... Too bad a few more friends could not make the cut due to their busy schedule, but still the 62-minute collection does no longer qualify as an EP as it was originally planned... Two years in the works, and finally materialized! I made a mix exclusively from first 10 records released by excellent San Francisco label De'fchild Productions (now defunct), lead by Ruoho Ruotsi . Hence the title "Dekalog" (also a nod to a seminal film by Krzysztof Kieślowski ). It is now out as a DVD, coupled with an outstanding and truly original video handmade by Sue-C (best known as Sue Costabile, worked with Kit Clayton and AGF amongst others).
